Meet Lisa

Lisa Plotkin, M.Ed. is a reflective practitioner, active listener, and dedicated thinker, ready to build connections through reflection with you.  She facilitates passionate and thoughtful professional development for early childhood educators.  She began her work in early childhood education in 2004 and knew she was serious about pursuing it as a career after a short conversation with a 5-year old child as he waited for his sister to finish dance class.  The joy she felt speaking with him so easily sparked her passion for making sure our youngest learners have a chance to navigate their journey with a sense of belonging and joy, security in their own identities, and confidence in building their relationships.

Lisa’s pedagogical approach is strengthened by the Reggio Emilia Approach to learning, many gifted mentors and influential colleagues, The Paradigm Project, experiences in the Jewish Community Center Association’s (JCCA) Sheva Center Leadership Institute (SCLI), and so much more.

With gratitude for her life experiences so far, she strives to live through her values of connection and Zing and searches for authentic relationships built upon honesty, trust, integrity, and respect wherever she goes.
